Belgian agriculture is facing significant challenges in transitioning towards environmentally friendly practices such as agroecology. The complexity and disconnection of the food system make it difficult for companies, farmers, and processors to collaborate, creating a dependence on industrial production. Furthermore, industrial stakeholders lack the tools, knowledge, and resources to successfully transition to agroecological production.

To overcome these barriers, The House of Agroecology brings together all agricultural stakeholders, from farmers to distributors, with the goal of accelerating the transition to agroecological products and transforming the food and agro-industrial system. To achieve these goals, The House of Agroecology develops agroecology sectors, creates links between agroecological actors and sectors, trains these actors through its expertise hub, and informs and raises awareness among citizens.
